Spiritual Asheville

It’s About Variety

Reiki Meetups

The Asheville Reiki scene is alive and well. The Meetup group boasts 157 members and has regular events.

To broaden the energy spectrum, the Asheville Area Wholistic and Integrative Professionals ™ Meetup group [LINK] (yes, they are looking to trademark it) has 931 members. The population of the city is 85,000, so theoretically, that would mean that over 1% of the population is into wholistic healing enough to join.

Energy Practitioners

Roots and Rocks[LINK] Rachel Razzo, an Asheville based transformational sol focused healing. Modalities offered include energy healing, flower essence consultations and astrology and akashic records readings.

Deanne Hampton [LINK] Chakra readings and vortex tours. Yes, Asheville, like Sedona and Shasta, and purportedly Encinitas, has energy vortexes that contribute to the spirit of the place. Deanne can show you the way.

Psychics and Intuitives

As usual, psychics and psychic shops tend to move. We found one on-line whose site appeared shut down. Double check any listings you find here or elsewhere, particularly if they aren’t attached with a center. So we’re starting with one.

David Swing – Faerie Seer [LINK] Located in Weaverville, a 20 minute drive north of Asheville, David offers readings, workshops and faerie investigations. For his readings, he uses runes as the stepping stones, and his clairvoyance, clairaudience, and clairsentience to see, hear and speak with the spirit guides.

Sacred Tree Visions [LINK] The home-based business of Deborah Hendrickson. She offers psychic medium readings, intuitive reiki sessions as well as instruction in meditation.

Rebecca Pfeffer [LINK] Rebecca offers mediumship and psychic readings, as well as courses in both.

Spiritual Centers and Sanctuaries

UR Light Center [LINK] Established in 1976 and opened in 1979, the Light Center provides a non-denominational supportive environment to encourage personal and planetary transformation through prayer. They have a light room, a lodge and a dome room available for prayer 24 hrs/day, 365 days/year.

Mountain Light Sanctuary [LINK] Work exchange programs are offered for those without money. Located 35 miles northeast of Asheville, the sanctuary offers a quiet place to get away and recharge. Personal and group retreats are offered.

North Carolina Reiki Training Center [LINK] A certified Karuna Reiki training center offering classes almost every week. Massage therapists can receive CE credits for classes taken at the center.
